The Women in STEM Living-Learning Center is IU’s premiere community for women pursuing degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
We harness our residents’ interest in STEM to connect them with faculty, staff, mentors, tutors, resources, and facilities dedicated to women’s advancement in careers and graduate studies in STEM fields.

So I found out about it through the website, and then I contacted Melissa and I just got a little tour and I didn't really know much about it at all going into the tour and then I came here and I walked around I met some of the people in the LLC at the time and I just kind of knew it was where I was meant to be. I just felt really at home just being in this community of girls that have the same interests as me. It's really beneficial really great community everyone helps each other out we have tutors specifically for the LLC which is really nice. We get to take trips we have like events and stuff like we're doing a Thanksgiving dinner we're doing a game night we just had the Halloween party, so a lot of fun activities like that. It definitely makes me more comfortable being in the stem field, especially since it's a very male-dominated area just to know that there are other women who are also in the same field as me and we're all kind of supporting each other. That makes it a lot easier to just kind of be the women in stem. That makes it a lot easier yeah.

A place to meet great minds
The Women in STEM Living-Learning Center will be located in Forest Quad starting Fall 2025. Located in the Southeast neighborhood, Forest is located very close to many of the science, technology, and mathematics buildings on campus, making it a convenient choice for STEM majors.
