Since 1912, Indiana University has provided high-quality educational opportunities for precollege students. From supporting remote learners during wartime to helping students overcome obstacles like illness or displacement, IU has a long history of ensuring access to education. While much has changed over the past century, the need for flexible, high-quality precollege programs has only grown.
Today, IU Bloomington continues this tradition with a variety of programs designed to meet the needs of modern students. Our programs:
- Offer remote high school education for students needing flexible learning options
- Train high school teachers to bring advanced coursework to their classrooms
- Enable over 200 high schools to provide college-credit opportunities to more than 20,000 students
- Allow qualified high school students to earn credits on campus
- Help newly admitted IU students transition to college life while getting a head start on their academic careers
No matter the path, IU Bloomington precollege programs give students the tools and opportunities to succeed.
